Floor Workout to Relieve Overwhelm

How to Avoid Overwhelm? Let’s get grounded and regain our “centre”

Don't be fooled! Just because some exercises can be done on the mat doesn't mean they're automatically "easy."

If you're executing the movements correctly and with intention, you're going to feel it the next day! But you're also going to reduce overwhelm, feel calm, relaxed, grounded and focused.

I can't tell you how often the benefits of floor work are overlooked in favor of the expected heart-pumping centre exercises.

People tend to forget that floor barre, and other similar mat work, can hone technique and quiet our racing minds. Progress made through floor work always carries over to centre exercises, choreography, and technique in general.

The added bonus is the clarity of mind that comes with floor work's ability to help us feel grounded and recentered, both physically and mentally. So I've put together this floor workout to give us the chance to work on a few things.

  • Balance- to feel recentered (metaphorically and literally)

  • Restore and release- to give tired joints a break from the continued strain of standing

  • Control and focus- to reduce overwhelm and feel grounded in our bodies

Let's get those mats out, ladies! It's time to breathe, tone, and release.

Let’s do this workout together and Relieve Overwhelm 👇
